Deep Pour, Casting & Art Resin
Premium quality epoxy resin for projects requiring a deep pour such as river tables and casting. Two products that allow for pours of up to 2" and 4" at once. You may pour deeper, but bubble-release won't be as efficient while curing. The 2" version has a faster cure time than the 4" version.

Deep pour epoxy buying guide
Our Deep Pour, Casting & Art Resin is for thick pours: river tables, casting, embedding and art. It comes in two formulas. The number is the maximum depth of one pour: up to 2 inches or up to 4 inches.
2-inch or 4-inch formula
Choose the formula by the depth of each pour, not by the total thickness of your project.
- 2-inch formula: pours of up to 2 inches at a time. It cures faster than the 4-inch formula.
- 4-inch formula: pours of up to 4 inches at a time.
- Do not pour deeper than this in one pour. For a thicker project, pour in layers.
How much resin to buy
Measure only the space that the resin fills, for example the channel between the slabs of a river table. Enter the length, width and depth in the epoxy calculator. It adds 5% for normal losses.
- Kit sizes: 0.75 gal (2.85 L), 1.5 gal (5.7 L), 3 gal (11.4 L) and 6 gal (22.8 L).
- The kit size is resin and hardener together. For example, the 6 gallon kit has 4 gallons of resin (A) and 2 gallons of hardener (B).
Mixing and pouring
Read the instructions for the 2-inch resin or the 4-inch resin before you start. For a full project, see our river table guide.
- Mix 2 parts resin (A) to 1 part hardener (B) by volume, or 100A:45B by weight.
- Stir for 4 to 5 minutes and scrape the sides. You then have about 1 hour of working time.
- Work at about 70 to 75 °F. The thicker the pour, the cooler the room should be for the first hours. Warm cold bottles in warm water before you mix.
- About 15 minutes after the pour, pass a torch quickly a few inches over the resin to pop bubbles.
Frequently asked questions
Which formula should I use for a river table?
Use the depth of each pour. If one pour is 2 inches deep or less, the 2-inch formula works and cures faster. For pours from 2 to 4 inches, use the 4-inch formula.
Can I color deep pour resin?
Yes. It mixes well with mica powder and other coloring materials. See our pigments.
